Promoting a multilateral system to insure global justice and equality. (2025)
In today’s world we are seeing a swift breakdown of previously established frameworks. These systems are of the utmost importance for the functioning of our world, yet they are under attack. We at SGAmun believe in the multilateral system of the United Nations and wish to promote its prevalence. Through hard work and cooperation, we can secure multilateralism for future generations.
By embracing multilateralism, a way of thinking characterized by cooperation and mutual respect, we hope to eliminate unjustness in this world and work towards a world where equality and justice are not mere aspirations, but a reality for all.
We believe this fits perfectly with the goal of MUN, and can also teach students more about cooperating and debating.
Oftentimes you will not realise how necessary cooperation is, and focussing on your on goals instead of common good, losing alliances/friendships in the process, leaving you stranded. It is exactly for this reason that we have chosen ‘Ensuring global justice and equality by promoting a multilateral system for all’ as the theme for the first edition of SGAMUN. We hope to bring to light the importance of working together to solve issues greater than any individual could ever solve alone. Together, we can pave the way for a future where every individual, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to thrive in a just and equal society.
